At Good On Ya, sustainability isn’t simply a label we slap onto our products, it’s at the forefront of everything we do. Our founder, David, grew up on Australian coastlines from WA to NSW. For most of his career, David has been fighting to reduce reliance on Big Oil in Australia and Europe. Now, he’s taking on the swimwear revolution.
Our Sustainable Processes
Eco-Yarn Material
We’ve swapped out the harmful plastics found in most swimwear with an eco-yarn material, Amni Soul Eco. This material is a biodegradable polyamide- a seriously strong material that breaks down when exposed to just the right elements (aka landfill).While landfill isn’t exactly an ideal solution the fact is that 64% of the 32 BILLION garments produced each year end up in landfill. Worse still 95% of textiles that are sent to landfill are recyclable… but there isn’t enough capacity to recycle these textiles. Just because that item you bought says it’s recyclable doesn’t mean it’s actually going to be recycled - even when you do the right thing and put it in a recycle bin. When our swimwear is sent to landfill it degrades completely within just 5 years.
Made in Brazil
You might be thinking, why the heck is an Aussie brand off-loading their manufacturing to Brazil? Our eco-yarn material is produced/manufactured in Brazil. To reduce the carbon emissions of shipping this material in bulk to Australia, we decided to partner with an incredible team in Brazil who are passionate about our cause. This helps us manufacture Good On Ya more sustainably. Fair Wages Brazil imposes strict laws when it comes to workers’ rights. Our manufacturing team is paid a fair wage and given generous leave entitlements.

Biodegradable Packaging
We don’t stop at sustainability in our garments- no way! All our packaging is 100% biodegradable and eco-friendly. Your Good On Ya swimwear will arrive wrapped up safely in a water-soluble garment bag, inside a home-compostable mailer.
Carbon Off-Setting
We’re going a step further to reduce our emissions. We’ve partnered with EcoCart to make your new purchase carbon-neutral. With every Good On Ya order, we contribute to a carbon off-setting project in Santa Catarina, Brazil.
